Since 2007, teams from the SCCAL have gone 5-11 in the CCS playoffs, but are 0-7 in the last three years, according to our records. Helping the cause is Santa Cruz's title-winning postseason in 2007, when it went 3-0. Otherwise, it's been a bit of a struggle for the local teams in the playoffs.

Re: Postseason changes to CCS Open Division

Thank you for the blog on this.....there is one question us readers really want to know, and it is important in this issue. What is the S.C.C.A.L.'s record in CCS playoffs for the last 5 years? It seems as if most of our teams are consistently out by the first round.

Re: All-SCCAL Football

Although I agree with some of the modification to the selection, I still see leaks in the outcome. Hopefully coaches promoted their best points with their nomations and stats can be misleading at times. The SCCAL had some outstanding running backs this year. I had the previledge to watch the top kids. Unfortuantely, the league also had some weak defense of teams. A couple of running backs that did not get the respect they deserved were Travis Dolton of Soquel and Phillip Rojas of Aptos. Both kids Yards Per Carry were amongst the leagues best( Dolton 69 car/666 yds=9.09 YPC and Rojas 115 car/936 yds=8.13 YPC). Both had limited running plays against the weaker teams(Harbor, St.Francis) and even Soquel, who gave up an average of 30 points per game.

Just my 2 cents !!

Re: All-SCCAL Football

Talented group !

Re: About me

We can change the goofy mug to anything you'd like!
